TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 2, 2021) – The No. 11 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team earned a strong road victory in Scenic West Athletic Conference play Tuesday.

The Bruins downed the College of Southern Nevada by a mark of 3-2, winning by set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 22-25, 17-15. The victory boosts Salt Lake to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in Scenic West play.
After winning the first two sets, the Bruins and Lady Coyotes were tied at 22-22 in the third set before CSN closed out the set to extend the match. After CSN tied the match at 2-2, Southern Nevada opened the fifth set on a 5-0 run to start, which the Bruins quickly countered with a run of their own. CSN took a 14-13 lead, setting up match point, before the Bruins responded with two quick points to force match point of their own. SLCC won the match on a CSN attack error.
Halle Livingston finished with 13 kills to lead Salt Lake, while
Sammi Johnston finished with 11 kills.
Sidney Frith had a team-high 24 assists, while
Hikialani Kaohelaulii posted 21 digs.Â

Salt Lake will travel on the road Friday to play nationally-ranked Snow College in a Scenic West match.
