Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 13, 2021) – The No. 13 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team split a pair of matches in a Saturday tournament.
 
SLCC finished the preseason by splitting a pair of matches with Northeastern Junior College and Casper College, downing No.11 Northeastern by a 3-0 score (25-20, 25-13, 25-22) while picking up a 3-0 loss to Casper (15-25, 19-25, 18-25). The results leave SLCC with a 5-4 overall record.
 
Salt Lake will open Scenic West Athletic Conference play next week, opening with a match at Southern Idaho Wednesday. 
 
Salt Lake 3, Northeastern 0: A strong start powered the Bruins to a win over nationally-ranked Northeastern.
 
Sammi Johnston finished with a team-high 11 kills for a .346 hitting percentage, while Kenadee Christensen posted 10 kills. Sidney Frith posted 25 assists while 6 digs and an ace. The Bruins hit .337 as a team.
 
Casper 3, Salt Lake 0: SLCC suffered a disappointing loss in game two.
 
Rachael Warren finished with 8 kills, while Halle Johnston posted 7 kills. Hikialani Kaohelaulii finished with 21 digs.
