Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 12, 2021) – The No. 13 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team split a pair of matches in a Friday tournament.

The Bruins, playing in a tournament hosted by Eastern Wyoming College, finished with a 3-1 loss (25-17, 22-25, 21-25, 20-25)Â Â against Laramie County Community College to open the day. SLCC earned a 3-1 win (25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 25-22) over host Eastern Wyoming in the nightcap. The day's action leaves SLCC's overall record at 4-3.

Salt Lake will face off against Northeastern Junior College and Casper College Saturday.

Laramie County 3, Salt Lake 1: A fast start in the first set slipped away from the Bruins in the day's first match.

Sammi Johnston led Salt Lake with 11 kills and 12 digs, while
Rachael Warren finished with 10 kills.
Sidney Frith posted 32 assists and 10 digs. SLCC hit .275 as a team offensively.Â

Salt Lake 3, Eastern Wyoming 1: The day's second match featured a consistent attack for the Bruins, who downed the host team.

Kenadee Christensen led the team with a hitting percentage of .321, finishing with 11 kills. Frith posted 23 assists, while the Bruins posted 13 blocks as a team.Â
