TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 9, 2021) – The No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Soccer program will be the top seed in next week's NJCAA Division-I Men's Soccer Championships.
SLCC was named as the top seed by the NJCAA in its Selection Show Tuesday, with the Bruins playing in a pod featuring No. 8 Daytona State (FL) and No. 12 Harford (MD). Salt Lake will open their national title defense on Monday with a match against Harford.

Mark Davis said his team is excited to begin the tournament.
"Our team is thrilled to be the top seed in the upcoming NJCAA tournament," he said. "Our guys have played and trained hard all season long, and we are honored to be the top seed as we defend our NJCAA title from the spring."
Salt Lake is 17-0 overall, with an overall winning streak of 20 matches. The Bruins will play two matches in their pod, with the team that earns the most points from the pod advancing to play in the NJCAA semifinals. The semifinals will be played Friday, Nov. 19, with finals scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 20.
The tournament will be played in Tyler, Texas.
