TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 23, 2021) – The No. 3 Salt Lake Community College Volleyball program responded from a tough loss to an in-state opponent, earning a strong victory in a Scenic West Athletic Conference match on Saturday.
 
SLCC picked up a 3-0 victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College, winning with set scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-15. The victory lifts the Bruins to 21-4 overall, alongside a mark of 7-1 in Scenic West play.
 
Salt Lake dominated the match defensively, holding Colorado Northwestern to a hitting percentage of -.023. The Bruins contrasted that performance by hitting .260, finishing with 39 kills and a season-high 14 aces.
 
Charley Turner led SLCC with seven kills, while Hikialani Kaohelaulii finished with a team-high four aces. Turner also posted 11 assists in the win.
 
Salt Lake will take to the road next week for its final pair of Scenic West matches, playing at nationally-ranked Snow College and Southern Nevada.
