Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (January 23, 2021) - Day two of the 2021 season saw a strong performance from the Salt Lake Community College volleyball team, with the Bruins sweeping Miles Community College in non-conference play Saturday.
SLCC earned a 3-0 win over Miles, hitting .326 as a team. Rachel Warren,
Kenadee Christensen and
Halle Livingston all finished with 10 kills each for the Bruins, with
Sidney Frith leading the team with 21 assists.
"I am pleased with our entire team's contribution this weekend," said SLCC coach
Sue Dulaney. "It was exciting to be back on the court and we accomplished what we set out to do. We have really worked to stay focused on the process in practice and I feel it showed this weekend as we got better with each match. Next weekend we have our tournament and can't wait to display to our family and friends the progress we have made."
Salt Lake will play in a home tournament next weekend, facing off against four regional teams inside the Lifetime Activities Center. Play will begin against Western Wyoming on Friday.Â
