Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 28, 2019) - The No. 9 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team has gotten off to a fast start in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Bruins earned a 3-0Â win over Colorado Northwestern Community College on Saturday, pushing their record to 2-0 in the Scenic West Athletic Conference in the opening weekend of league play with a 25-15, 25-8, 25-9. SLCC's overall record is now up to 19-5.Â
Salt Lake controlled the match both offensively and defensively, holding a 28-17 advantage in kills and also finishing with 7 aces. SLCC also forced CNCC into 27 errors, finishing with 8 blocks on the net.
Rachael Warren led with 6 kills and
Allie Beck had 5 kills.
Bruna Correa had 12 assists, while
Sammi Johnston had a team-high 15 kills.Â
SLCC will travel to play No. 6 Snow College next Thursday in Ephraim, followed up by a trip to play at Southern Nevada Saturday. SLCC will return home to the Lifetime Activities Center on October 24 for a match against CSN.Â
