Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 14, 2019) - The No. 8 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team was swept in Saturday's action in a preseason tournament hosted by the College of Southern Nevada.

The Bruins earned a loss to Central Wyoming, 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 19-25, 19-25), in the afternoon match and fell 3-1 to No. 4 Miami Dade College, falling 13-25, 25-18, 12-25, 18-25. The split leaves SLCC's overall record at 13-4.

Salt Lake will play a final preseason tournament next weekend, playing four matches in the Wyobraska Tournament. The Bruins' next home match is scheduled for Sept. 24 against Western Wyoming Community College.

Miami-Dade 3, Salt Lake 1: SLCC fell to one of the nation's top programs in a Saturday morning match.

Ariane Pola led the Bruins with 11 kills and 3 blocks, with Bruna Correa finishing with 13 digs. Salt Lake had 12 blocks in the match. 

Central Wyoming 3, Salt Lake 1: The Bruins finished the tournament with a tough loss.

Bruna Correa finished with 36 assists, while Ariane Pola had 14 kills and 5 blocks. Sammi Johnston finished with 8 digs and 7 kills.
