Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 14, 2019) - A dominant performance helped the No. 5 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team to a 2-0 record in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Bruins earned a 10-0 victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College Saturday, offensively dominating the match to move to 4-0-1 overall and 2-0 in the Scenic West. SLCC took a total of 44 shots in the dominant win.Â
The match was back-and-forth to start until the Bruins scored in the 26th minute, opening the flood gates for the team.
Ryen Jiba gave the team a 2-0 lead just minutes later and stretched the lead to 4-0 at halftime. The Bruins scored six uncontested goals in the second half.
Rafael Calderon scored a goal to end the match with moments left.Â
Salt Lake will play a match on Thursday at Snow College, with a road match at Southern Nevada Saturday.Â
