Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (August 24, 2019) - Sometimes the most impressive performances are the ones that don't end in an absolute victory.
Take the No. 14 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team, who finished a preseason match with No. 1 Pima Community College in a 1-1 double-overtime draw. The tie shows both teams they are nationally competitive, particularly the Bruins who now have an overall record of 1-0-1.
It was Salt Lake who struck first in the match, taking a 1-0 lead in the first half, before Pima returned the favor. The match then went into a first overtime, which ended with no score, and an equally fruitless second overtime that ended in the draw.
SLCC will play a non-conference match on Sunday, September 1 against Northeastern Junior College. That match will be played at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.Â
