Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 8, 2019) – After a season that saw a mixture of highs-and-lows, the No. 15 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team saw its season end in a postseason loss Friday.

The Bruins fell to No. 5 Snow College in a semifinal matchup of the Region 18 tournament Friday, falling by set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 21-25. SLCC earned a 3-0 win over Colorado Northwestern Community College earlier in the day to advance to the semifinals.Â

Salt Lake's season will end with a record of 23-11.

Snow 3, Salt Lake 1: The Bruins captured the first set but saw the No. 5 Badgers take control in the match to earn the victory.
Salt Lake and Snow were tied at 23-23 in the first set before the Bruins went on a run to end the set, closing out with a Rachel Warren kill. From there, the Badgers took control and rolled to a victory that advanced them to the Region 18 finals on Saturday.
Gwen Russell finished with a team-high 14 kills to lead the team, while
Kenadee Christensen finished with 11 kills.
Bruna Correa had a team-high 29 assists, while
Sammi Johnston paced the action with 14 digs.Â
