Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 2, 2019) - The No. 5 Salt Lake Community College women's soccer team was upset in the Region 18 final by an in-state rival Saturday.

The No. 5 Bruins fell in a matchup with No. 10 Snow College in the Region 18 championship match at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, falling 3-1. The loss is Salt Lake's first of the season, dropping the team's overall record to 12-1-1.

Salt Lake took an early lead in the match as Hannah Lee turned a Baylie Saunders assist into a 1-0 Bruins lead in the 17th minute. The match would go back-and-forth defensively until Snow tied the match in the 42nd minute. The Badgers broke the tie in the 78th minute and added a third goal in the 84th minute. 

Offensively, SLCC held a 9-5 edge in shots and a 4-2 edge in corner kicks. Emma Stone took a team-high 3 shots. Bruins goalkeeper Siuana Pauni finished with 2 saves in the match.
