Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 3, 2019) - The No. 9 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team suffered a disappointing defeat to a nationally-ranked in-state rival in Scenic West Athletic Conference play Thursday.
In back-and-forth early sets, momentum swung to-and-fro with ease as the teams were tied at 1-1 after the second set. However, Snow took a strong victory in the third set and carried the momentum to the match victory.Â
Kenadee Christensen finished with 14 kills, while
Bruna Correa contributed 35 assists.
Gwen Russell had 15 kills, with
Ariane Pola finishing with 12 kills and 4 blocks.
Sammi Johnston had a team-high 18 digs in the loss.Â
The Bruins fell 3-1 (23-25, 27-25, 15-25, 21-25) to No. 6 Snow College in Ephraim, earning their first league defeat of the season. The loss drops SLCC to 19-6 and 2-1 in Scenic West play.
