No. 16 Bruins to travel to in-state rival Snow College

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 18, 2018) -  A two-week layoff didn't affect the No. 16 Salt Lake Community College women's soccer program.

The Bruins, who had a weekend off due to Colorado Northwestern dropping women's soccer late in the offseason, came back to defeat USU Eastern 3-0 and 2-1 in a pair of matches. The wins set up Salt Lake with an overall record of 7-0, and 2-0 at the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

SLCC is the only team at 2-0 in the SWAC, with USU Eastern sitting at 1-2-1 in league play and Southern Nevada at 0-1-1. The start is Salt Lake's best-ever as a program.

"The weekly results for our program keep getting more and more encouraging," he said. "We've been through a variety of different scenarios and situations, with positive results coming from every one so far. It's a great time to be a Bruin."

This weekend figures to bring another exciting bout of action for SLCC, with a trip to No. 9 Snow College. Snow has opened with a record of 5-0, rising from No. 12 just a week ago. The Badgers will be playing their first league matches when the Bruins travel to Ephraim.

"This weekend figures to bring a new level of challenge for our team this season," said Davis. "We are focused on details as we enter into this important set of matches."

SLCC's first match at Snow will start at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, with an 11:00 a.m. start on Saturday. Salt Lake will play at home next on Sept. 28, as they take on Southern Nevada.
