Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 14, 2018) - The No. 15 Salt Lake Community College women's soccer program opened league play with a bang Friday.
The Bruins earned a 3-0 victory over in-state rival USU Eastern to pick up a win in their Scenic West Athletic Conference opener. Salt Lake held a 10-1 advantage in shots-on-goal, powering to the victory. The win moves Salt Lake's overall record to 6-0 and 1-0 in league play.
Zoe Moses scored the first goal of the league season for Salt Lake in the ninth minute, followed up by a
Samantha Tippetts goal in the 24th minute. Salt Lake held a 2-0 lead, with
Baylie Saunders scoring a late goal in the 87th minute.
With the win,
Mckenna Eaves kept her scoreless streak alive, with the goalie keeping opponents scoreless in the first six matches of the season.Â
The Bruins will play USU Eastern on Saturday at Zions Bank Stadium. The match is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.Â
