Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 14, 2018) - The No. 9 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team continued their strong play in the 2018 season, extending their win streak to eight games.
The Bruins earned a 5-1 victory over in-state rival USU Eastern, moving their record in the Scenic West Athletic Conference to 3-0. For only the third time this season, an opponent scored against Salt Lake, with SLCCÂ still dominating the match offensively.
Salt Lake's
Enoch Mushagalusa continued his strong streak, scoring three goals for the Bruins. Tied at 0-0 in the 27th minute, Mushagalusa scored a goal to give Salt Lake an early lead, followed up by another goal in the 28th minute. He scored a late goal at the end to give the Bruins a final edge.
USU Eastern picked up a goal from Mat Clark in the 55th minute. Jonathan Guadarrama contributed a goal for Salt Lake in the 33rd minute, whileÂ
Jonah Moreno scored a goal in the 57th minute.
Salt Lake's overall record now sits at 8-0. The Bruins will play USU Eastern again at 1:00 p.m. at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.Â
