Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (August 28, 2018) - The Salt Lake Community College men's-and-women's soccer programs made offseason plans for success; plans they are keeping with laser-like precision in the preseason.

Both Salt Lake programs earned victories Tuesday to move their season records to 3-0, with the Bruin women's program earning a 6-0 win over the Utah Valley University Soccer Club and the SLCC men's program picking up a 5-0 win over the BYU-Idaho club program. Salt Lake's women's program has a 15-0 advantage in goals-scored to start the season.

The Bruins will host several matches over the Labor Day Weekend at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, starting with Friday's matches against Trinidad State College. The SLCC women's program will play at 3:00 p.m., with the men's program playing at 5:00 p.m.

Salt Lake Women's Soccer 6, UVU Soccer Club 0: Several early goals gave SLCC strong control of their match over UVU's club program early.

The Bruins held a 3-0 lead in the 17th minute, with a goal by Madison Schmidt giving Salt Lake the large early lead. The offensive numbers were told by several statistical categories but one stood above - shots - with SLCC holding a 33-3 statistical advantage in that category.

Six different Salt Lake players scored goals, with Zoe Moses starting things off in the 15th minute. Then it was Sarah Spencer, followed by Schmidt. Callie Fisher, Siuana Pauni and Hanna Rose also scored for Salt Lake, who had 13 shots-on-goal. 

Salt Lake Men's Soccer 5, BYU Idaho Soccer Club 0: The Bruins took an early lead and never looked back in a home win over BYU Idaho's soccer club.
