Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 9, 2018) - The No. 3 Salt Lake Community College volleyball program played a rare non-conference matchup in a loaded conference week, making the most of the rare schedule with a big victory over Western Wyoming Community College.
The Bruins earned a 3-0 victory over Western Wyoming, earning set victories of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-21 to earn the sweep in the match. SLCCÂ has now won eight-straight matches, with a record of 22-1 overall.
Hellen Lacava, the reigning Scenic West Athletic Conference Defensive Player-of-the-Week, led the team with 14 kills. Lacava led the Bruins with a plus-nine rating for points-earned.
Callie Whitney finished with 22 digs, while
Bruna Correa had 40 assists.
