TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 26, 2018) - For all of the excitement in the 2018 season for the Salt Lake Community College volleyball team, Friday's conclusion to the regular season proved to be a rare downer.
The Bruins were swept at the College of Southern Idaho, 3-0, ending the regular season at 26-3 and 8-2 in the Scenic West. Salt Lake fell by set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-19, being swept for just the second time in the 2018 season.
Southern Idaho controlled the match offensively, finishing with a 50-29 advantage in kills and a hitting-percentage advantage of .230-.128.
Lauryn Ritchie and
Dawson Day led Salt Lake with six kills apiece.
Bruna Correa and
Seville Likes finished with 12 assists.Â
