Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 12, 2018) - The No. 3 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team started the second-half of the Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule the way they started the first-half - with a nearly-perfect victory.
Salt Lake rolled to a 3-0 home victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College, winning the match 25-14, 25-16 and 25-15. The match victory lifts Salt Lake's overall record to 23-1 and a perfect 6-0 in the Scenic West.
SLCCÂ controlled the match from the beginning, imposing its will on the Spartans with a 35-21 advantage in kills. The Bruins also limited CNCCÂ to a hitting percentage of -.011, while finishing with a hitting percentage of .222 on their own.Â
It was a balanced effort for Salt Lake's individual players, with
Allie Beck,
Dawson Day and
Lauryn Ritchie finishing with seven kills each.
Callie Whitney led the Bruins with 13 digs.
