th-ranked Salt Lake Community College Bruins should see that national ranking continue to go upward, after the Bruin men's soccer program completed a weekend sweep of Colorado Northwestern to open SWAC play.

The Bruins earned a 5-0 win over the Spartans, scoring four goals in the second half of the match. The shutout was SLCC's third shutout of the young season; Salt Lake finished with nine shutouts in the 2016 season.

Five different SLCC players scored goals, with the Bruins attempting 31 shots in the match. Salt Lake attempted 17 shots in the second half alone, with Colorado Northwestern attempting only two shots on goal in the entire match.

Salt Lake Community College's next matches comes against SWAC in-state rival USU Eastern in Price next weekend. The Bruins are off to a program-best 4-1-1 record, and a 2-0 start in SWAC play.

SLCC Women 11, CNWCC 0 - The Salt Lake Community College Bruins women's soccer program powered to an 11-0 win over Colorado Northwestern in SWAC play Saturday.

The Bruins scored six goals in the opening half, with SLCC attempting 37 shot attempts in the match. Salt Lake finished with five assists in the match.

Jenna Hansen all scored a pair of goals for the Bruins, who swept their first SWAC doubleheader of the season. SLCC goalie Mckenna Eaves had no shots attempted against her, giving her a tally of just three goals allowed in five matches.
