Bruin men earn 1-0 win in extra time in Vegas

Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 30, 2017) – A thrilling overtime win helped Salt Lake Community College's Bruin men's soccer program finish a road trip to Sin City in style.

The Bruins picked up a 1-0 overtime win over the College of Southern Nevada, improving their SWAC record to 4-4 in the process. A day after a disappointing loss to the Coyotes, the Bruins persevered through 90 minutes of action before netting a goal in the overtime for the league win.

The goal, scored by SLCC's Bryson Colmere, came in the match's 105th minute from an assist by Johnny Larson. The Coyotes held a 10-6 advantage in shots in the match but it was Salt Lake's ability to persevere on defense that made the difference. The Bruins held a 7-3 advantage in saves.

Salt Lake will play three matches after an off-week, with a match on the road against Colorado Northwestern Wednesday. The Bruins will host matches against USU-Eastern and travel to Snow College next weekend.
