Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 30, 2017) – A thrilling overtime win helped Salt Lake Community College's Bruin men's soccer program finish a road trip to Sin City in style.
The Bruins picked up a 1-0 overtime win over the College of Southern Nevada, improving their SWAC record to 4-4 in the process. A day after a disappointing loss to the Coyotes, the Bruins persevered through 90 minutes of action before netting a goal in the overtime for the league win.
The goal, scored by SLCC's Bryson Colmere, came in the match's 105
th minute from an assist by Johnny Larson. The Coyotes held a 10-6 advantage in shots in the match but it was Salt Lake's ability to persevere on defense that made the difference. The Bruins held a 7-3 advantage in saves.
Salt Lake will play three matches after an off-week, with a match on the road against Colorado Northwestern Wednesday. The Bruins will host matches against USU-Eastern and travel to Snow College next weekend.
