Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 22, 2017) – A strong offensive performance lifted Salt Lake Community College's Men's Soccer program over in-state rival Snow College in SWAC play Friday, on a cool fall day on the Wasatch Front.

The Bruins earned a 3-1 win in Taylorsville over the Badgers, taking an early 2-0 lead on the way to the victory. SLCC earned the win after being swept in SWAC play last weekend, in road matches at USU-Eastern. With the win over Snow, the Bruins have a record of 5-3-1 overall, with a record of 3-2 in league play.

Jaden Wood started the scoring for the Bruins in the 14
th minute, netting an unassisted goal. Then, in the 23
rd minute,
Aaron Martinez utilized a
Zach Wallace assist to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead.

Snow College would score a goal shortly after halftime, cutting the SLCC lead to 2-1. However,
Bridger Hansen quickly responded, giving Salt Lake a commanding lead in the 61
st minute on a Martinez-assisted goal.

The shots-on-goal differential for both teams was fairly even, with SLCC holding a 14-13 edge. The difference for Salt Lake was defensive, as the Bruins made a total of three saves in the second half of the match.

Salt Lake Community College will play Saturday, hosting the Badgers at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville Campus.Â
