Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 13, 2017) – The Salt Lake Community College Bruin men's soccer program returned home Friday with gusto, powering to a close win over an in-state rival.

The Bruins defeated in-state Scenic West rival USU-Eastern 2-1 Friday, avenging a pair of losses to the Golden Eagles earlier this season. A pair of early goals helped Salt Lake power to the victory, as the match was offensively controlled by SLCC.

Salt Lake got on the board in the 26
th minute, as
Raul Sanchez scored a goal off a
Bryson Colemere assist. Moments later, Colemere scored a goal of his own to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead in the 34
th minute. USU-Eastern would come back to get a goal later in the match but Salt Lake was able to save two shots-on-goal to preserve the win.

The Bruins held a mighty advantage in offense, picking up a 14-2 advantage in shots.

SLCC now sit at 6-4-1 in SWAC play, already at 2-0 in the week. The Bruins have one more league test – a Saturday road match at Snow College. The match will begin at 11:00 a.m.
