SALT LAKE CITY, UT—The No. 7-ranked SLCC Volleyball team (19-6, 7-0 SWAC) defeated No. 16 North Idaho College (NIC) (11-8, 4-3 SWAC) on Friday night at Bruin Arena. The Bruins swept the Cardinals 3-0 by scores of 25-20, 25-19 and 25-20 on Alumni Night at SLCC and sealed the regular season series sweep over NIC.

SLCC remains atop the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) standings with the victory and is the only team without a loss in SWAC play.

Stats vs. NIC: SLCC freshman outside hitter Carol Grasso (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led all players with 16 kills in the match and completed a double-double with 16 digs. Sophomore middle hitter Jillian Campbell (Murray, UT) added five kills and was error-free for the contest, turning in a .333 attacking percentage on 15 total attempts. Campbell also contributed six blocks.

Bruin sophomore setter Baylie Henrie (Kaysville, UT) had 28 assists and sophomore libero (defensive specialist) Indigo Allen (North Salt Lake, UT) helped out with 11 digs in the winning effort.
SLCC held NIC to a .067 attacking percentage and out-blocked the Cardinals 14-10. 

Next up for Head Coach Sue Dulaney and the Bruins is a home match vs. No. 8-ranked College of Southern Idaho (19-7, 6-1 SWAC) on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. SLCC defeated CSI 3-1 on Oct. 3 in Twin Falls, ID.
