SALT LAKE CITY, UT—The No. 6-ranked SLCC Volleyball team (18-6, 6-0 SWAC) defeated in-state rival No. 18-ranked Snow College (14-8, 2-4 SWAC) on Saturday at Bruin Arena. The Bruins topped the Badgers 3-2 by scores of 25-16, 21-25, 23-25, 25-21 and 15-8 on Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Day at the Lifetime Activities Center.

SLCC remains in sole possession of first place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) standings and is the only team without a loss in conference competition. The Bruins held Snow College to a negative hitting percentage of -.006 for the contest and out-blocked the Badgers 14-9.

Stats vs. Snow: SLCC freshman outside hitter Carol Grasso led all players with 17 kills in the contest and the Sao Paulo, Brazil native turned in 20 digs in the winning effort. Sophomore outside hitter Bailee Kendall (Mt. Pleasant, UT) added 15 kills to go with six digs and sophomore setter Baylie Henrie (Kaysville, UT) had a match-high 35 assists to help the Bruins past the Badgers for a 2-0 regular season series sweep of Snow College.

Next up for Head Coach Sue Dulaney and the Bruins is a home match vs. SWAC rival No. 16-ranked North Idaho College (NIC) (11-7, 4-2 SWAC) on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. The Bruins defeated NIC 3-1 on Oct. 5 in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
