SALT LAKE CITY, UT--The
No. 6-ranked SLCC Volleyball team (17-6, 5-0 SWAC) will resume Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) play vs.
No. 18 Snow College (14-7, 2-3 SWAC) on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Bruin Arena with a 1 p.m. first serve.
Dig Pink: Saturday's contest takes place on Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Day for the Bruins, with SLCC teaming up with Kathy Howa and the Swing for Life Foundation to raise money and awareness for the cause. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match, and Swing for Life will have a prize table set up in the main lobby where fans can purchase awesome merchandise with proceeds going directly to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Special autographed merchandise including a volleyball and warm-up shirts will be available for bidding via silent auction.
Match Preview: The Bruins opened SWAC play with a
3-1 road victory over the Snow Badgers on Sept. 27 in Ephraim, UT. Sophomore outside hitter
Bailee Kendall (Mt. Pleasant, UT) had 22 kills in the contest and sophomore middle hitter
Janessa Koelliker (Kaysville, UT) hit for a .316 attacking percentage in the winning effort.
