SLCC Volleyball to Host Two Ranked Opponents This Week
Bruins to face No. 5 Western Wyoming CC and No. 16 Snow College
SALT LAKE CITY, UT—The
No. 6-ranked SLCC Volleyball team (17-5, 5-0 SWAC) will play a pair of home matches against nationally-ranked opposition this week at Bruin Arena. The Bruins will host
No. 5 Western Wyoming Community College (23-4) on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in a non-conference contest.
SLCC will then square off with
No. 16 Snow College (13-7, 1-3 SWAC) on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. in the annual 'Dig Pink' match. The Bruins will wear pink in Saturday's contest and will be raising money alongside the Swing for Life Foundation in support of cancer awareness and the fight against breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the event. Bring a friend or family member who has battled cancer or breast cancer so we can celebrate their amazing success together!Â
SLCC has won five straight contests and remains in the top spot in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) as the only team without a loss in league play.

Bailee Kendall (Mt. Pleasant, UT) is second on the squad with 290 total kills and is averaging 3.45 kills per set. She leads the Bruins in solo blocks with 11 and ranks third on the team in total blocks with 42.

Indigo Allen (North Salt Lake, UT) has the most digs for a Bruin with 305 on the year.
As a team, SLCC has outscored its opposition 1080-761 (+ 319) and is averaging 12.7 kills per set. Salt Lake has 168.5 team blocks on the season and is hitting for a .239 attacking percentage as a squad.
The Bruins are 8-1 in three-set matches, 7-0 in four-set contests and are 2-4 in games that reach the full allotted five sets. SLCC is 6-0 at home, 3-2 in away matches and 8-3 in neutral-site matchups.
