No. 6 Bruin Volleyball takes down USU-Eastern in straight sets

SLCC dominates the Eagles as they coast to three set win

Salt Lake City, UT—No. 6-ranked Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Women's Volleyball (18-4, 3-1 SWAC) defeated Utah State University's College of Eastern Utah (USU-Eastern) (10-10, 1-2 SWAC) in straight sets 25-15, 25-8 and 25-14 on Saturday. The win marks the second straight three-set sweep for the Bruins.

SLCC sophomore outside hitter Maddie Bushman (Tucson, AZ) turned in a 10 kill performance, and the Sabino High School graduate also had four digs. Freshman outside hitter Bailee Kendall (Mt. Pleasant, UT) also had 10 kills, and sophomore middle hitter Mayra Ramirez (Calle, Columbia) had nine kills while hitting 62 percent.

SLCC sophomore setter Cortney Godfrey had 22 assists, and Bruin freshman libero Jaclyn Condie (Cottonwood Heights, UT) kept the ball off of the floor with 12 digs in the straight set win.

Next up for Head Coach Sue Dulaney and the Bruins is a road trip to Ephraim, UT where they will square off with the Badgers of Snow College (11-5, 1-2 SWAC) on Saturday, Oct. 6. First serve is at 7 p.m.
