Salt Lake Community College Women's Volleyball team (17-4, 2-1 SWAC) defeated Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) foe Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) (0-14, 0-2 SWAC) in three sets 25-14, 25-12 and 25-8 on Friday.
SLCC celebrated its annual 'Dig Pink' breast cancer awareness night, wearing pink jerseys and auctioning autographed merchandise to raise money for the fight to find a cure.
SLCC freshman opposite hitter
Adria Downs (Kaysville, UT) had eight kills on 14 attempts, and freshman outside hitter
Bailee Kendall (Mt. Pleasant, UT) had six kills. Freshman outside hitter
Anyssa Matheson (Worley, ID) turned in six kills as well, and freshman libero
Jaclyn Condie (Cottonwood Heights, UT) kept the ball alive with 11 digs in the sweep victory.
Next up for the Bruins is a home match against Utah State University's College of Eastern Utah (10-9, 1-1 SWAC) on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m.
