No. 7 SLCC Volleyball drops road match to No. 4 Southern Idaho

Bruins win first two sets, falter en route to fourth loss of 2012

Box Score No. 7-ranked SLCC Women's Volleyball (16-4, 1-1 SWAC) lost on the road at Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) rival and No. 4-ranked College of Southern Idaho (17-1, 2-0 SWAC) in five sets on Saturday in Twin Falls, ID. The Bruins won the first two sets over the Eagles, but CSI owned the final three frames winning by scores of 23-25, 19-25, 25-18, 25-15 and 15-13.
                                                                                                                                    
SLCC sophomore outside hitter Maddie Bushman (Tucson, AZ) led the Bruin attack with 16 kills and also turned in 16 digs. Freshman outside hitter Bailee Kendall (Mt. Pleasant, UT) contributed 12 kills and two block assists, and fellow freshman outside hitter Camry Godfrey had six kills in the loss. SLCC sophomore setter Cortney Godfrey (West Jordan, UT) had 35 assists on the night.
 
Next up for Head Coach Sue Dulaney and SLCC Volleyball is a pair of home matches this coming weekend. First up, the Bruins will take on Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) (0-12, 0-0 SWAC) on Friday, Sept. 28 at Bruin Arena. On Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m., SLCC will square off with USU-Eastern (9-9, 1-0 SWAC).
