SALT LAKE CITY- An error filled match led to the 3-1 defeat of the SLCC Bruin Volleyball team. The Bruins were unable to generate consistent offense hitting just .129 while committing 30 errors in the four set match. The loss drops the Bruins record to 14-5 overall and 1-1 in SWAC conference play.
The only Bruin to reach double digit kills was Maddie Bushman with 12 kills followed by Leyla Redondo's nine kills and Mackenzie Fahnestock with seven kills. The Southern Idaho defense collected 18.5 blocks and 66 digs against the SLCC hitters. Whitney Ashton led SLCC with 17 digs and Redondo had 11 digs.
No. 7 Salt Lake (14-5 1-1)looks to rebound from the loss as they face off against #2 Western Wyoming on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:00 pm in Bruin Arena.
