BRUINS ROAR TO #2 SEED IN CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
 
The #7-ranked Bruins of SLCC (22-7, 8-2 SWAC) clawed their way to the #2-seed in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament, to be held this week. Though the Bruins were tied atop the SWAC standings with North Idaho College (NIC) (21-8, 8-2 SWAC), they were not awarded hosting rights to the tourney due to tiebreaker rules. By earning the #2 seed, the Bruins also earned a bye in the quarterfinal round of the tourney, getting some much needed rest at this point in the season.
 
SLCC HEADS BACK TO NORTH IDAHO SEEKING REDEMPTION
 
Head Coach Sue Dulaney's Bruins are out for payback as they travel to NIC this week for the SWAC tournament. After dropping a tough match at the hands of the Cardinals in 5 sets on 10/15 after leading 8-3 in the fifth set, Salt Lake is eager to get back up to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
 
“We've got to go back up there and redeem ourselves, and I think it'll be the perfect place,” said Dulaney, who was honored last weekend for reaching her 100th win at SLCC. “We're excited for the opportunity to play against NIC on their home court, and it's going to definitely give us more motivation.”
