SOUTH PLAINS, MO – The Salt Lake Community Bruin Volleyball team fell in four sets 25-27, 25-21, 23-25, 19-25 to Western Nebraska. In a back and for match in which no team took control it was Western Nebraska who won a trip to the Championship match.
Offensively the Bruins failed to get through the block of Western Nebraska having 10.5 blocks against the Bruins. The big three for Salt Lake all finished with double digit kills however the team hit .188 in the match. Ame White led the team with 13 kills followed by Shelia Uulave with 12 and Erika Charry had 10. White and Uulave both served tough with three aces in the match apiece.
With the loss Salt Lake will face Western Wyoming in the third place match at 4:30 pm CT today in West Plains, MO.
