Salt Lake won each set of the consolation match 25-15. 

Cameron Zajer had eight kills and four service aces to lead the Bruins. Paige Ballif and Shaylee Dahle both added seven kills. Setter Myka Christensen recorded 19 assists. Libero Daxlyn Gammell posted 16 digs. 

Salt Lake ended up playing Snow College four times this year. In those competitive matches Salt Lake went 3-1. The Bruins finished their strong season with a 27-6 record that included winning the SWAC regular season, the Region 18 Championship, and a Rocky Mountain District Championship.

The Bruins won the fourth set 25-17, but were on the wrong side of another thrilling match as they lost the fifth set 15-12. 

Paige Ballif and Cameron Zajer each had 15 kills to lead Salt Lake. Shaylee Dahle added 12 kills and Kambri Kuhni recorded eleven kills and hit .667 for Salt Lake. Setters Avrie Valgardson and Myka Christensen combined to record 60 assists. Libero Daxlyn Gammell had 20 digs in the loss. 

Salt Lake hit .253 as a team and Trinity Valley hit .285 in the match. The Cardinals (30-7) avenged their straight set loss on September 13th to the Bruins (26-6).

The Bruins won the first two sets, but the Coyotes came back to pull off the reverse sweep. 

The Bruins started hot, winning the first set 25-22 and the second set 25-25. The response from the Coyotes was enough as they won three straight sets, winning the fifth set 15-11. 

Ryen Smith had 15 kills to lead Salt Lake and Cameron Zajer added 13 kills. Setter Myka Christensen had 29 assists and four service aces in the loss. 

Beline Thibaut led Weatherford with 15 kills.

The Bruins won the first set 30-28 and the second set 25-23. Then NMMI won the third set 23-25, but ten attacking errors in the fourth set by the Broncos helped Salt Lake close out the match 25-20 in set four. 

Ryen Smith and Cameron Zajer both recorded 15 kills to lead SLCC. Shaylee Dahle followed with nine kills and the middle blocker had eight of the Bruins 24 block assists. 

Libero Daxlyn Gammell had 23 digs and Havi Montano had 21 digs for Salt Lake. The freshman from Australia was a consistent performer all season for the Bruins. Zajer will enter the NJCAA National Tournament with 354 kills and 50 service aces. Cameron is averaging 3.31 kills per set and has played in 107 sets this year. Zajer posted a career-high 20 kills in the Bruins first match of the season and a career-high 22 digs in Salt Lake's District Match victory. 

Middle blocker Shaylee Dahle made the SWAC first-team with an impressive sophomore campaign. Dahle had the second most kills for Salt Lake with 180. Shaylee was named the Region 18 Tournament MVP last week as Salt Lake beat USU Eastern and Snow College. Dahle from Blackfoot, Idaho led Salt Lake this year with a .385 hitting percentage and 63 blocks. 

Freshman opposite hitter Lili Murase also made the SWAC first-team. Murase has 161 kills on the year and is hitting .303. The lefty from Osaka, Japan recorded a career-high 18 kills against Butler Community College. 

Libero Daxlyn Gammell was named to the second-team. Gammell was the SWAC Defensive Player of the Week three times during the regular season. Dax led Salt Lake with 394 digs. Gammell is from Salem, Utah and has 20 aces this season. 

Setter Myka Christensen earned second-team honors. Myka is averaging 6.46 assists per set and has 691 assists this season. Christensen is second on the team with 41 service aces. The setter from Lehi, Utah has 26 kills this year. 

Salt Lake Head Coach Shay Goulding Meurer was named the Scenic West Coach of the Year. It has been a great year for the Bruins as No. 8 SLCC Volleyball (25-4) punched their ticket to the National Tournament with their win over Central Arizona on Monday. The Bruins won the SWAC regular season and became the 2025 Region 18 Champions last week. Cameron Zajer's 17th kill ended the match as the Bruins won the fifth set 15-7. Ryen Smith and Shaylee Dahle added 12 kills and ten kills for Salt Lake. Bruin Setter Myka Christensen had 37 assists and two timely kills. 

Kambrie Kuhni had six block assists and Ryen Smith recorded seven block assists for Salt Lake. As a team the Bruins had 20 block assists and one solo block. &quot;We've been able to close out some chapters and I'm pretty proud of what we've been able to do in each one of those chapters. Now is another one and we can't go in assuming anything,&quot; said Bruins head coach Shay Goulding Meurer.
