Three Bruins Named NFCA All-Americans

SALT LAKE CITY (June 9, 2010) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has announced the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA NJCAA Division I All-American teams. 

Three Bruins were honored by the NFCA for their outstanding play in the 2010
season. Sophomore's Cyd Allen and Erika James were selected 1st Team All-Americans. Allen batted .521 this season and threw out 11 of 21 base stealers. While James drove in 23 runs this season and stole 42 of the 43 bases she attempted. Allen was also honored with the Diamond Sports Catcher of the Year; this award is given to the top catcher in the NJCAA. 

Sophomore pitcher Jordyn McDonald was named 2nd team and infielder Katelyn Elliott was named 3rd team.
