Salt Lake, Utah- SLCC Softball had a phenomenal weekend that resulted in the Bruins going 5-2 in their seven games played in Florida. Returning players Aubrie Hansen and Taitumn Reynen were named the SWAC Players of the Week for their standout performances. Salt Lake recorded wins over #11 Chipola College (11-6) and #8 Indian River State College (3-1). The Bruins narrowly lost to the tournaments hosts #2 Florida Southwestern State 4-2. 

RHP Aubrie Hansen was dominant in Florida as she recorded three wins and struck out 22 batters in 21.2 innings pitched. Opponents batting average was .159 against Hansen over the weekend. Aubrie earned SWAC Pitcher of the Week honors and her ERA in the tournament was an outstanding 1.65. 

LF Taitumn Reynen was named the Scenic West Player of the Week. Reynen hit .609 over the weekend as she had 14 hits in 23 at-bats. Taitumn scored seven runs and drove in six runs. The Canadian also walked three times and stole three bases.
